Ours is a young and vibrant festival coming right
at the end of the Umbria Jazz in a festive city . We have achieved
a spectacular growth in a few years with growing numbers of
young musicians , staff and attendance . That is certainly due
to :word of mouth" but also to the TV live coverage as well
as the media and radio reporting locally and nationally . We
have young musicians coming from North and South America , Japan
, Korea , Taiwan , Bulgaria ,Italy ,Israel and many other countries
. Our young musicians are busy daily with master classes , recitals
, concerts with the orchestra ,and there are public events practically
every night . The last gala concert we will have a " Perugia
Prize Winner".
I Solisti di Perugia our orchestra is the premier chamber
orchestra of Italy winner of numerous recording prizes.
We have extraordinary halls for our performances
; The Basilica San Pietro where Karajan conducted and called
the hall :"the best acoustic in Europe ":,and where Callas loved
to sing ,the Sala dei Notari where Michel Angelo Benedetti ,
Pollini and Pogorelich performed . We are structured so that
every musician accepted in the festival has a chance for a public
appearance . The strings and bel canto added , to our large
piano component , have contributed new flavor ,: recitals of
operatic arias ,as well as the Opera
"Il Signor Bruschino " in stage performance make us an international
but also vey Italian festival . Our work studio are 12 - 13 minutes
distance by foot from center town and some of the master classes are happening
right in our famed Brufani Hotel Palace .Finally the extraordinary
breakfast served at the Brufani and the diner offered at"La
Pasteria "until 11 pm. will satisfy all the Italian food conoscenti
. For the young and young at heart Perugia offers endless bars,
discos, , night clubs. As you may know from the web site we have
a short musical film festival featuring the noted film
producer Adrian Marthaler the 3 d of August . |
